How rankings work

Like KenPom for basketball, each team gets an offense and a defense rating based on the points it scores and allows per end, adjusted for the strength of its opponents and for who had the hammer. Rating is offense plus defense: the net points per end above an average team. Recent games count more than old ones.

Confidence shows how much data sits behind a rating (games played / (games + 5)). A team with few games can rank high or low by luck, so read low-confidence ratings with care.
